Getting number plates made requires proof of who you are and your entitlement to use the registration. Here’s a useful starting point.
01
Proof of identity & address
A registered supplier needs to see original documents showing your name and address. Examples include a driving licence or a recent utility bill or bank statement.
A passport can establish your name, but does not prove your address.
02
Entitlement to the registration
Examples include a V5C vehicle registration certificate, a V750 certificate of entitlement or a V778 retention document. The official list includes other accepted documents and specific requirements.
